If you’ve spotted an “S” showing against one of your zones, it’s worth knowing straight away that this isn’t actually a fault. It’s a built-in safety feature that automatically opens a designated spill zone when too many other zones are closed at once while the AC unit is running.
AirTouch does this to stop pressure building up dangerously inside the ductwork, which can happen if airflow has nowhere to go. Because it’s a protective response rather than a malfunction, it’s one of the most commonly searched AirTouch “errors” that isn’t actually one.
Send us the code and a photo of the display, and a Ford & Doonan technician will get back to you. Please don't reset the unit before you take the photo.
