An “AC Error” message on your AirTouch console means the fault sits with the air conditioning unit itself, not with the AirTouch zoning system. While this message is showing, AirTouch will disable its AC control functions, since it can’t safely manage a unit that’s already reporting a problem.
Because AirTouch is only a zone controller layered over your ducted AC, it can display this message but can’t tell you exactly what’s gone wrong inside the unit. That diagnosis needs to happen at the AC unit level before normal AirTouch operation can resume.
