Panasonic ERROR CODE H41

Panasonic H41 Error Code Troubleshooting

An H41 code could flag an abnormal wiring or refrigerant piping connection, and unlike most other codes, it usually points to how the system was installed rather than a part that’s failed. It shows up most often on twin or multi-split setups, where more than one indoor unit connects back to a single outdoor unit.

The fault occurs when the control wiring and refrigerant pipework for the indoor units have been cross-connected during installation, so an indoor unit is effectively paired with the wrong lineset. The system detects this mismatch and won’t run correctly until it’s corrected.

Common Reasons You May See An H41 Error Code

  • Indoor and outdoor control wiring and refrigerant pipework crossed between units on a multi-split system
  • Incorrect wiring carried out during installation
