An H23 code relates to the temperature sensor mounted on the indoor heat exchanger, or coil. This sensor tracks how cold or hot the coil is running, which the system uses to manage cooling and heating performance and to protect against issues like ice build-up.
If the sensor disconnects, its contacts become dirty, or its reading falls outside the expected range, the indoor unit can no longer trust the data it’s receiving and raises the fault. It’s typically a connection issue rather than a sign of a bigger mechanical problem.
Send us the code and a photo of the display, and a Ford & Doonan technician will get back to you. Please don't reset the unit before you take the photo.
