A U0 error code could mean the system has detected that its refrigerant charge is too low to operate safely. Refrigerant is what carries heat around the system, so running with too little of it can affect both performance and the compressor’s safety.
This fault is most commonly the result of a leak somewhere in the refrigerant circuit, though it can occasionally trace back to the original installation or a faulty expansion valve.
