Daikin ERROR CODE F3

Daikin F3 Error Code Troubleshooting

The F3 error code could mean the compressor’s discharge pipe temperature (the outlet side, where refrigerant leaves the compressor) has climbed above a safe limit. This is a protective shutdown designed to stop the compressor being damaged by excessive heat.

It’s most often connected to the refrigerant circuit rather than an electrical fault, though restricted airflow or a faulty sensor can also be responsible.

Common Reasons You May See An F3 Error Code

  • Low refrigerant charge or a refrigerant leak
  • Blocked or restricted refrigerant flow, such as an expansion valve issue
  • A faulty discharge pipe thermistor
  • Reduced airflow from a dirty filter
  • A fault on the control board
