An A6 error code relates to the indoor fan motor, the component responsible for pushing conditioned air out into your room. This code can appear when the fan either isn’t spinning as expected or the unit isn’t receiving a proper speed-feedback signal from it.
Because the indoor fan is a DC motor with its own feedback wiring, a fault can sit in several places along that chain. It might be the motor itself, the connection between the motor and the control board, or the board’s ability to read the signal correctly.
