An E7 error code could point to a problem with the outdoor fan motor, which draws air across the outdoor coil to release or absorb heat. This code can show up when the fan is locked, not turning, or its speed feedback signal isn’t behaving as expected.
The cause can be as simple as debris caught in the fan blades, or something more involved, such as a failing motor or a wiring fault inside the outdoor unit.
