The F3 error code could mean the compressor’s discharge pipe temperature (the outlet side, where refrigerant leaves the compressor) has climbed above a safe limit. This is a protective shutdown designed to stop the compressor being damaged by excessive heat.
It’s most often connected to the refrigerant circuit rather than an electrical fault, though restricted airflow or a faulty sensor can also be responsible.
Send us the code and a photo of the display, and a Ford & Doonan technician will get back to you. Please don't reset the unit before you take the photo.
