3 Festive Air Conditioning Tips to Stay Cool this Christmas
Christmas, a magical time of year. But, it can also be one of the most stressful (and hottest!). If you’re hosting the family lunch or dinner this year, be sure to check out our 3 air conditioning tips for a cool festive celebration
Open Doors and Windows
When you first wake up, open the doors and windows to the kitchen and living rooms. This will allow for some air flow to pass through the house and if done early enough, can help to lower the temperature of the home before turning the air conditioner on.
Use your Timer
Set the timer function to turn the air conditioner on for roughly 30 – 45 minutes before your guests arrive. Setting it to 23° before they arrive will ensure it’s given amble time to cool the house before additional people increase the temperature. With more people in and around the house, plus add a few festive candles to the mix, and you’ve got a nice little sauna. You can also set it to switch itself off after a period of time so that you don’t even need to think.
Clean your Outlets
Whether you have a split system or reverse cycle ducted air conditioner, it’s always a good idea to clean and dust the outlets before you turn the system on. This can be done with a simple feather duster and will not only improve the look, but will make sure no cobwebs get blown out when you switch the system on.
We hope you have a safe and Merry Christmas
