Reduce the Running Cost of Your Ducted Air Conditioner
Ford and Doonan Air Conditioning have launched a new service known as “performance upgrades”.
With over 14,000 ducted reverse cycle systems installed in WA every year, many are designed and installed to suit the entry level market. This means the cheapest materials are used; undersized ductwork and grilles, and poor quality installation methods have become common place in order to sell clients fully ducted systems at incredible prices. As always “you get what you pay for”.
Electricity is set to rise 23% from July 1, making the efficiency of a ducted system even more critical. Considering a typical Summer/Winter power bill can jump by $200 per month when your ducted system is operating, a 20% more efficient system can save you $40 per month or $240 per year (assuming only 6 months usage). In commercial premises, power is 50% more expensive than domestic and the systems run all year round. Potential saving - $720.00 per year!
These figures do not include additional savings available by the installation of a fresh air economy cycle. This can be added to a new or existing system and instead of running the expensive outdoor unit at night, you merely use the cool night time air outside and duct it inside, saving another 60-80c per hour.
The environment is the biggest winner of all. Potential reductions of at least 1300kg of CO2 being released into the atmosphere, all by just making your system the most efficient it can be.
The final and equally important reason to consider a performance upgrade is your comfort. An efficient ducted air conditioner will cool or heat faster, and maintain better comfort conditions in the extreme conditions.
For a short time, Ford and Doonan Kardinya are offering a free inspection and report on your existing ducted reverse cycle system, domestic or commercial. From this report you will understand if any improvements can be made and how much money you’ll save now and into the future. Call 9331 8800 to book your free inspection or email .
